After sell-out performances the past 4 summers, The Seven Steps Big Band returns to PizzaExpress Soho to present a new programme of classic and contemporary big band music. The 20-piece ensemble was formed in 2012 from ex-members of the Durham, Oxford and Cambridge university big bands, and has joined together with graduates from music colleges to form one of the most exciting young bands performing on the London circuit. In addition to regular performances in the UK, the band enjoys an annual summer residency on board Cruise and Maritime Voyages ships. Their Dean Street performance will be a showcase of tunes featuring on the band’s upcoming tour of the Canary Isles, including original compositions, vocals, pop and a healthy amount of swing!
